The latest entry into the ever-expanding franchise, RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus the World, is set to be a part of the BBC Three channel launch, moving from a digital platform to a traditional TV channel format.
As the title suggests, UK Versus the World will take the competition global, pitting queens from across the world against one another as the United Kingdom serves as the host country. The participants will reportedly be chosen from existing alumni across all iterations of the franchise, showing off different cultures of drag as they all compete for the title of Global Drag Race Superstar.
Ru herself will obviously be taking part in the show, which will feature a panel of judges including Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, Alan Carr, and the usual rotating celebrity guest judge slot to keep things spicy.
There’s no word yet on which queens might join in the fray, or when the show will premiere. But fans are already jazzed for the opportunity to keep even more fierceness coming through their TV screens — and speculating about how things might go down.
Those of us in the States can catch the show streaming on WOW Presents Plus when it premieres. And whenever that is, it can’t come too soon!
